HARPHAM FAMILY PARTICIPATES IN JULY 4TH PARADE IN WEAVERVILLE AND MAKES THE FRONT PAGE OF THE TRINITY JOURNAL.

Papa Murl and son Murl Richard, daughter Kelley and son-in-law Norman and  four of Murl's grandkids and one great grandchild assisted in carrying the 30 by 20 foot American Flag which was a big hit in Weaverville.  The flag belongs to the Ferndale Native Sons for which Murl Richard is an officer.  The family joke is that Murl Sr. can't belong to the Native Sons because California wasn't a state yet when Murl was borne.

Murl Sr. is in the white T-shirt and in front of him is grandson Luke, directly behind Murl is great-grandchild Keesha (partially hidden by grandpa) and behind her is Norman, Kelley's husband.  In the center at the rear of the flag is Murl Richard with Kelley and grandchild Joy in the white hats at the back of the the flag. Granddaughter Natalee if working the crowd handing out hats and flags.
